Day 1: New Orleans

Arrive in New Orleans. First glimpse of this bustling city, where different cultures meet and mingle.

Day 2: New Orleans

Among the many neighborhoods to visit, we particularly recommend the French Quarter, as well as the Garden District and the Art District.

Day 3: New Orleans

Among other neighborhoods and buildings, you can admire the Garden District, from where you can take the ‘Streetcar named desire’.

Day 4: Baton Rouge

Depart for the plantation route. We particularly recommend Oak Alley Plantation, a superb mansion with shady driveways and century-old oak trees, and Nottoway, an impressive building that bears witness to the opulence of the region's economy before the Civil War. Discover the capital of Louisiana, Baton Rouge, famous for its Capitol, and its famous Louisiana State University, which plays a major role in the local economy and is home to the Rural Life Museum. The open-air museum features homes and equipment typical of the early 19th century. Spend the night in Baton Rouge.

Day 5: Natchez

This morning, depart for Saint Francisville to visit a magnificent plantation in the region, Rosedown, and its gardens inspired by those of Versailles. Continue on to Natchez, in the neighboring state of Mississippi, a charming Southern town that has retained its historic character. The city's 19th-century mansions are beautifully preserved. Spend the night in Natchez.

Day 6: Lafayette

Depart for Saint Martinville, nicknamed "Little Paris" in the 19th century, a rare example in the USA of a very European village structure. The story of Evangeline will be told here. Depart for Avery Island.

Day 7: Lafayette

Visit the exotic garden and its famous Jungle Gardens and Bird Sanctuary, home to numerous birds, alligators and even raccoons. You can also visit the world-famous Tabasco sauce factory.

Day 8: Houma

Start the day with the must-see boat tour of the surrounding marshes, the famous bayous, where you may encounter a few alligators.
