Santa Cruz da Graciosa Portugal

Santa Cruz da Graciosa is a Portuguese village on Graciosa Island, Autonomous Region of the Azores, with about 1,800 inhabitants. It is the seat of a small municipality with 60.94 km² of area and 4 780 inhabitants (2001), subdivided into 4 parishes. The municipality occupies all the Graciosa Island, being, therefore, surrounded by the Atlantic Ocean. The nearest municipality is Velas on the island of São Jorge, to the south. The council received a charter in 1486. Within the municipality is the Graciosa airport.
